I Survived Las Vegas!
Twenty of us (YES, 20) headed to the city of sin to celebrate our friend’s birthday. Her name is Brandie Chapman, and she had no idea we were heading to Vegas last Friday. In fact, we loaded her on the bus to head for the airport…and dropped her off at a little casino outside of Spokane. She looked so lost! Then we let her back on the bus and headed to the airport.
The people on the plane thought we were funny. Okay. We thought the people on the plane thought we were funny. They probably actually wanted us knocked out. The casino folks at New York New York were wonderful and very helpful. It’s a great place to stay!
So…we had one trip to the hospital, one trip to the underground rooms to fetch one of my troublemakers, two jackpots…saw way too many male butts at the Thunder Down Under show…(okay, maybe there were just the right amount), and fun memories that’ll last forever.
A few of us had the penthouse…and it was awesome. I’ll post pictures at some point. In a couple of hours I’m heading to the FF&P conference in New Orleans, so I’m rushing around a little bit. If you’re in New Orleans, drop by the public book signing on Sunday at the Marriott on Canal Street. I hope to see you there! 🙂
